After 31 months, the (Trump) DOJ has decided that maybe golf shirts, birthday cards, newspaper clippings, and Christmas ornaments aren’t a threat to democracy.
According to Just the News, after raiding Mar-a-Lago in August of 2022 like it was a terrorist hideout instead of a former president’s home, the Trump FBI is now returning some of Donald Trump’s personal belongings that the Biden FBI absconded with. Apparently, that means the items weren’t, in fact, top-secret nuclear launch codes or the key to dismantling the Republic. Shocking.
Still, the Biden folks didn’t deem it important enough to return Trump’s personal property before they left office. Shocking again, right?!
Reports indicate that the DOJ has finally returned Trump’s personal belongings and that they got loaded aboard Air Force One. So, does that mean his personal memorabilia wasn’t actually a national security threat after all? You’d think the Biden FBI could have figured that out maybe a week or so after the armed raid when they rifled through the boxes. But better late than never, right?
And what about the items they took from Melania’s closet or Barron’s room?
The Biden-Harris administration spent over a year trying to paint Trump as a walking security risk who stole classified docs from the White House, all while Joe himself had classified documents stashed in his garage next to his Corvette. But Trump’s keepsakes? Clearly, those were the real existential threat to the nation. Or maybe not as it turns out.
Now, in a move that is perhaps a little too little, too late, the government is handing back the confiscated items. But don’t expect an apology for what was actually a raid-and- smear campaign event from the Biden folks.
Trump, however, is celebrating the return of his stuff and posted on social media, “The Department of Justice has just returned the boxes that Deranged Jack Smith made such a big deal about. They are being brought down to Florida and will someday be part of the Trump Presidential Library…Justice finally won out.”
