Europe has thrown its weight behind the seemingly endless war between Russia and Ukraine, standing firm with Ukrainian President Zelensky after an emergency summit over the weekend.
The show of solidarity followed a dramatic confrontation in the Oval Office on Friday—where President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Zelensky clashed in a spectacle that sent shockwaves across the globe. The fallout? Zelensky was unceremoniously ejected from the White House, walking away with no promises of continued U.S. support.
And yet, Europe seems unfazed, eager to escalate the conflict. They claim they’ll put boots on the ground and planes in the air. Good luck with that. For decades, the EU has relied on the United States to foot the bill for NATO and, more recently, the war in Ukraine, all while neglecting their own military capabilities. Now, they’re signaling a willingness to take the fight to Russia—without the full backing of the U.S.
It’s been over three years since Russia invaded Ukraine, and there’s no clear path to peace. The only real shot at ending the war—Trump’s ceasefire proposal—was swiftly rejected by Zelensky.
You know what they say: the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. Continuing to pour billions into this conflict and expecting Putin to suddenly reverse course is pure delusion. So far, this war has not only cost the world untold billions but has also resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1.5 million people.
Friday was supposed to mark a turning point. It was the third proposal from the U.S. in negotiations between Russia and Ukraine—after Ukraine rejected the first two. And let’s not forget, the Biden administration may have played a role in killing those deals as well.
This latest proposal was designed to integrate American business into Ukraine. Let’s be real—Putin has shown no interest in challenging the U.S. when Trump is in charge. Yet Zelensky turned his nose up at the best security guarantee he could have gotten, despite the fact that Europe should be responsible for Ukraine’s defense—not the U.S.
Think about it: 500 million Europeans are demanding that 300 million Americans pay for a war against 140 million Russians. Let that sink in.
Zelensky had signaled to Trump’s team that he was ready to sign the deal. Then, he lands in D.C., storms into the Oval Office, and picks a fight—on American soil, in front of the media. It all kicked off when JD Vance suggested trying things Trump’s way instead of continuing Biden’s failed strategy.
Seems reasonable. But it ruffled Zelensky’s feathers. Almost as if he was waiting for an excuse to blow things up. And that’s exactly what he did—listen to his response:
Every day this war drags on, hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers are dying—250 on Friday alone, with more over the weekend. But does Zelensky look like a man serious about peace?
Unbelievable.
Then he had the audacity to make some vague threat about America’s future.
That’s when Trump shut it down, fast.
Even the Ukrainian ambassador couldn’t hide her horror—head in hands—as Zelensky self-sabotaged what should have been a straightforward deal to secure much-needed investment. Instead of showing gratitude, he insulted the Vice President of the United States inside the White House. Trump wasn’t having any of it.
And when Vance schooled him once again? No humility, no acknowledgment—just more arrogance. Watch:
This was an embarrassing moment for Ukraine. But for the American people, it was an eye-opening display of Zelensky’s entitlement mentality and his unwillingness to negotiate for peace.
This isn’t the first time he’s behaved this way, but it was certainly the most public example. Remember this from 2022? When Biden lost his temper after Zelensky demanded even more aid, immediately after the U.S. pledged another billion dollars?

A lot of good that did—we kept the money flowing anyway. But on Friday, America finally saw an administration with a plan. Trump stood firm. As he put it—
But Zelensky doubled down. Instead of damage control, his Fox News interview that night was a disaster. Commentators had suggested he could still salvage the deal by showing some humility. Instead, he dug himself in deeper. Watch:
No apology, no humility.
It was such a disaster that he even lost Lindsey Graham—one of the biggest pro-Ukraine voices on Capitol Hill. Listen:
To be fair, Graham has a habit of adjusting his stance with the political winds. But hey, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Of course, one group never fails to disappoint: the warmongering Democrats. They stuck to their usual script—claiming that somehow Ukraine’s interests matter more than America’s. These politicians live in luxury on your tax dollars, while siding with Ukraine over the United States. Listen to these traitors:
Let’s not pretend Ukraine is some shining beacon of democracy. Zelensky has been dodging free elections, yet we’re supposed to keep throwing money at him?
If these politicians care so much about Ukraine, maybe they should grab some fatigues from Zelensky’s closet and head to the frontlines themselves.
The media and Democrats deal in fantasies. Trump deals in realities. Just take this exchange from the meeting:
Trump is playing the long game. He knows how to close a deal. This is the man who secured a trillion-dollar investment from Japan, renegotiated NAFTA, brokered the Abraham Accords—a modern-day miracle—and already brought home nearly a dozen hostages.
His critics can scream all they want. When he ends this war, they’ll be left stuttering.
I’ll leave you with this—straight from our America-First president:
Yep. That’s what I voted for.
