Just when you thought the Democratic Party might take a break from its all-out assault on women – what with losing the presidency and all – they prove that bad ideas never take a vacation. The latest chapter? Senate Democrats just blocked a bill that would have protected women’s sports from the threat of biological men competing against them.
According to a Pew Research survey, about two-thirds of U.S. adults support policies requiring transgender athletes to compete on teams that match the sex they were assigned at birth. But the Dems still won’t stop their insane support of transgenders doing what they want.
On Monday, there was a vote in the Senate for the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act” which was meant to do what any rational person would assume is a given: keep men out of women’s sports. But instead of supporting the rights of female athletes to compete on a fair playing field, Democrats in the Senate did what they do best – cater to transgenders instead of protecting women.
The Dem senators voted unanimously to block the bill that would have prohibited federally funded schools from allowing trans athletes from participating in women’s sports. Because of their filibuster, the legislation fell short of the 60 needed votes to advance. Michigan Senator Gary Peters voted against it and Senator Slotkin was a coward and didn’t vote.
This shouldn’t even be a partisan issue. Women’s sports exist because of biological differences – ones that even the most woke politicians can’t legislate away. But for today’s Democrats, the feelings of a handful of trans-identifying males apparently outweigh the opportunities and safety of every girl and woman who has trained her whole life to compete in sports.
Even RINO Senator Susan Collins of Maine has common sense about the issue and said, “I just think this is a matter of fairness, safety and giving girls and young women the opportunity to excel in sports.”
But fairness isn’t exactly a Democratic priority these days – unless, of course, it applies to criminals, illegal aliens, or anyone else they can pander to. Meanwhile, young women are being told to step aside and make room for biological males who dominate their sports, take their scholarships, and invade their locker rooms.
The Democrats’ message is clear – biological women are yesterday’s news. Their rights, their spaces, and their opportunities are all expendable if it means scoring woke points with the activist crowd. Losing the White House should have been a wake-up call, but if anything, it’s just made the Democratic Party double down on its insanity. If this is their idea of winning women over for 2026, good luck with that.
