The Democratic Party is facing a leadership vacuum so vast it could make the Grand Canyon look like a pothole in comparison. With no clear successor to President Biden and no strong, competent and sane voices emerging to guide the party forward, the Dems are stuck with their usual suspects to be the face of the party by default: California Rep. Maxine “Reclaiming My Time” Waters and New York Senator Chuck “Six Ways From Sunday” Schumer.
If you were looking for a fresh, dynamic vision for the future, well – keep looking. The current Democratic leaders look like they were wheeled in straight from the nursing home – yet they’re parroting the radical ideas cooked up by their younger, more progressive colleagues.
However, none of those young up-and-comers have stepped up to be the party’s new voice. A few have tried – AOC, Kamala, Buttigieg, Whitmer, Tlaib, Jeffries, and Newsom – but Americans are pushing them aside, fed up with their obsession over illegal immigration, DEI, Palestinians and trans rights instead of real priorities that can Make America Great Again.
Mark Halperin, a political analyst who has spent years spinning for the left, can’t even name a single Democrat who would strike fear into the GOP. That’s right – not one.
While the GOP has a clear bench of rising stars and a plethora of pro-American policies to give everyone, Democrats are still turning to their elder statesmen to guide them – if by “guide” you mean rambling press conferences and failed talking points. They’re trying to rile up voters – but what kind of sane people are against getting rid of government waste, fraud and abuse?
So the Dems are back to their usual routine – opposing Trump no matter what he does. But this time, it seems like more Democratic politicians than actual voters are doing the protesting. Could it be that the slush fund that once bankrolled protestors is running dry? Tough break…
Rather than presenting a compelling message to voters, the Democrats have settled for being the perpetual “resistance.” If Trump says yes, they say no. If he pushes for Middle East peace, they object. If he advocates for fair trade, they scream economic doom.
With no strong leader, no clear message, and no viable presidential contender in sight, the Democrats’ game plan seems to be suing Trump at every turn and relying on the media to cover for them – while everyday Americans grapple with real-world problems. That didn’t win them the presidency the last time around and with no positive leader with solutions to deliver, it won’t win them the presidency the next time around – which is great news for the country.
