California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, the man who never met a taxpayer dollar he didn’t want to steal, is at it again – this time he’s wasting $50 million to “fight” Donald Trump while simultaneously begging for $40 billion in federal fire relief.

According to Breitbart News, the Golden State’s coiffed commander-in-chief, whose economic policies have turned California into a real-life dystopian novel, has been prioritizing his political war chest over actual disasters – and now wants the federal government (Trump in particular) to bail him out.

The state, still reeling from devastating wildfires, crumbling infrastructure, and an exodus of productive citizens fleeing his leadership, apparently has millions to burn on an anti-Trump crusade but needs a government handout to fix what the governor screwed up in the first place.

It’s a classic Newsom move – one hand demanding a federal bailout, the other hand shoveling taxpayer money into a political incinerator. While California’s fire-ravaged communities struggle to rebuild, Newsom’s top concern is making sure no one forgets how much he hates Trump.

The $50 million Anti-Trump war chest will most likely be used for legal battles, voter outreach, and “informing the public” (i.e. relentless propaganda) about the supposed dangers of the Trump presidency – not to mention paying for lawyers and giving other support to illegal aliens. Newsom, like many Dems, thinks the best use of time and taxpayer money is to help illegal aliens and to participate in a political vendetta against Trump. Those are the top two priorities of the Democratic Party and have been for quite some time.

Meanwhile, that $40 billion in fire relief? That’s Uncle Sam’s problem. And Californians in need? They’ll just have to sit tight and hope FEMA gets their paperwork processed before their towns turn to ash again.

The real tragedy here isn’t just Newsom’s hypocrisy – it’s that California’s hardworking citizens, who pay some of the highest taxes in the country, are forced to bankroll Newsom’s delusions of national political relevance. And after the governor leaves office, Californians aren’t going to fare much better under their next idiotic governor – which will most likely be loser Kamala Harris.

Maybe it’s time to ask: What’s the REAL disaster here? The fires – or the Dems who keep running the state into the ground?
