It looks like the never-ending humanitarian ATM for Catholic Charities and their NGO buddies might finally be running out of cash after Donald J. Trump won the presidency again. After raking in billions and billions of dollars thanks to Biden’s wide-open border policies, these organizations might actually have to do charity work out of the goodness of their hears instead of doing so to cash government checks. Rough times ahead for sure.

According to a report from Just the News, Catholic Charities alone vacuumed up a stunning $3.4 billion from Uncle Sam since Biden took office. They used the money to house and resettle illegal aliens.

This money wasn’t just for handing out a few sandwiches and rosaries. Nope, they were knee-deep in housing, transportation, legal aid, and resettlement. They certainly weren’t using the money for homeless Americans or veterans who need help. That’s right, neither the Democratic Party nor the Catholic charities seem to think that’s a worthy enough cause to dedicate their time and money to.

Trump and his MAGA lawmakers are working to cut off the golden chalice of federal money flowing to these so-called “charities.” And surprise, surprise – those groups aren’t taking it well.

Without the sweet taxpayer dollars, will the Catholic Charities still feel called to help out the “newcomers”? Or will they suddenly discover that charity work isn’t as appealing when it doesn’t come with a government subsidy?

Of course, we can expect plenty of weeping and gnashing of teeth from the Catholic and NGO crowd as their cash cow empire starts to crumble. Meanwhile, taxpayers might finally get a break from subsidizing organizations that have thrived on open borders, all while telling Americans that resisting mass migration makes them bad Christians.

With the well drying up, Catholic Charities and their allies will have to decide: Will they actually continue to serve the illegal aliens on their own? Or was it really just about the payday?
