In a move that evicted city taxpayers from democracy, Chicago Democratic Mayor Brandon Johnson orchestrated the removal of dissenting residents from a city meeting on Monday after they dared to object to his 2025 budget.

The budget, which allocates MILLIONS for migrants (i.e. illegal aliens), passed after Johnson called for a recess to clear the room of pesky taxpayers who insisted on speaking their minds.

Fox News reports that Johnson’s plan narrowly passed after six weeks of heated debate, with the council finally cobbling together 26 votes – enough to greenlight the proposal.

“You caused all this money to go to illegal immigrants,” one resident bluntly told Johnson during the public comment period. Another accused him of failing to protect Chicagoans from what they called an “invasion.”

The scene turned chaotic enough for Johnson to hit pause, call in police, and clear the chamber of Chicagoans who apparently thought their tax dollars entitled them to have a say in city governance.

While Johnson has framed his budget as a progressive win, many locals feel increasingly alienated in their own city, watching resources redirected away from long- standing residents toward “newcomers” (i.e. illegal aliens).

Critics argue that Johnson’s approach not only sidelines taxpayers but also raises questions about the city’s long-term solvency. But hey, at least the public meeting offered a master class in how to make people feel unwelcome in their own hometown. Chicago: the city that works – for everyone except the people footing the bill.

And foot the bill they have, with the city already spending $527.5 million on illegal aliens since May of 2023.
