Looks like Judge Juan Merchan, who’s already been flagged for his questionable ties to the Democratic party, is pushing back the sentencing of former President Donald Trump in Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s “hush money” case until after the 2024 election.
Originally scheduled for September 18th, Trump’s sentencing has now been pushed back to November 26th – three weeks after the election. MSNBC says that the postponement will make things much easier for a “confinement” of the former president – and who can argue with them?
If Trump clinches victory in 2024, you can bet the judge will literally try to block his path to the Oval Office with a prison sentence or house arrest at Mar-a-Lago. But let’s be honest – Trump could run the country from a cell or his Florida resort and still outperform the current Democratic leadership by a mile.
The new hearing date neatly sidesteps ticking off a plethora of Americans to drive them to vote for the former president over the Communist Kamala. So, congratulations to Merchan and company for sticking to the political campaign strategy of “do no harm to Kalama” until the ballots are counted.
Democrats’ brilliant plan: prosecute, delay, repeat!
Let’s call this what it is: a strategic time-out in the game of political football. Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, inspired by his lifelong dream of becoming a viral YouTube sensation and plans to rise up the political ladder, decided to stack up charges against Trump like Jenga blocks. But the whole thing is a farce.
Even the DOJ’s own spokesperson was caught admitting on a hidden camera recently, even they think this case is more about theatrics than justice. Bragg’s approach – rearrange charges, pile on accusations, and see what works – is as transparent as a toddler’s attempt to hide vegetables in their napkin: go after Trump, not actual crimes.
But this is not surprising because the Dems will do whatever it takes to bring down Orange Man Bad. It’s not about justice or democracy – it’s about the same old game with the Democrats: holding onto political power and cashing in on that power.
