In journalism, we often say that everybody needs an editor, and it seems that this adage applies even to the highest office in the land.
Recent events (Biden’s idiocy and penchant to lie constantly) have demonstrated that President Joe Biden is no exception, as the White House staff has found itself in the position of editing his speeches quite frequently to correct misstatements and gaffes.
Democrats don’t care about truth, they care about spin and marketing.
Who cares if they are rewriting truth and facts into fiction?! Who cares if the historical record will be inaccurate?! The only thing that matters, apparently, is that the Dems are able spin the words that come out of the lying ignoramus president’s mouth so that he doesn’t look like what he really is – totally incompetent.
This spin is having to happen more and more lately including Biden’s recent rambling and incoherent speech to the NAACP in Detroit.
White House has to drastically edit Biden’s speech to NAACP.
The official transcript released by the White House featured no fewer than nine corrections.
In the speech, the president mistakenly suggests that he was vice president during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The real words he said were: “When I was vice president, things were kind of bad during the pandemic…And, what happened was Barack (Obama) said to me: ‘Go to Detroit – help fix it.’”
So White House transcript corrected this reality to indicate that Biden likely meant to reference the “recession” during his vice presidency, not the pandemic.
Biden says we all save $800,000 in our health insurance every year due to Obamacare.
Other notable corrections in the transcript included Biden’s claim that families are saving a staggering $800,000 per year from the Affordable Care Act. Wow. I don’t even think I MADE that much money in the last 25 years – but somehow I have been able to SAVE that much in a year in health care. Cool beans.
Oops. The White House changed that to be $800 (which is probably not true either).
Our brainless leader can’t even pronounce common words.
The dense president also mispronounced several words, turning “inspiring” into “inspiresing” and “insurrectionists” into “irrectionists” (at least he didn’t say “erectionists.”)
The funniest blunder was when Biden called the NAACP the “NAAC” – which would end up being the “National Association for the Advancement of Colored” according to Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.
Well, at least President Dementia didn’t call them the NRA. Things could have really gone off the rails after that.
In response to these corrections, Acting Deputy Press Secretary Sam Michel emphasized that the focus should remain on the substance of President Biden’s message rather than the verbal missteps.
Biden handlers tell us to ignore Biden’s moronic-ness.
Michel stated, “We’re focused on the substance of the transcript and the heart of President Biden’s speech: how he is fighting for Americans by lowering the cost of prescription drugs, making transformational investments in HBCUs, and protecting Medicare and Social Security.”
Every day, another gaffe…
What Michel DIDN’T say is that Biden’s recent gaffes are not isolated incidents. In fact, they seem to be part of a troubling pattern. Biden’s missteps have been on full display for a while now and are happening more and more as his handlers ramp up his campaign appearances.
As Biden is shoved out in the public more and more in the lead up to the November election, we will see more of his inability to give a coherent speech and total inability to run the country.
Another notable faux pas moment happened in April when Biden, inadvertently reading teleprompter instructions aloud, said, “Imagine what we could do next. Four more years, pause.”
Biden’s actions are as screwed up as his speeches.
While some might argue that such editorial oversight of Biden’s words is a routine part of political speechmaking and many consider it laughable comedy, others see it as a troubling sign of the president’s declining cognitive abilities and overall fitness for office.
In a landscape fraught with troubling issues, the true measure of leadership lies not solely in scripted rhetoric but in actions that reflect a steadfast commitment to the nation’s welfare – and he sucks at that too.
