Seattle is a city where a few “snowflakes” can apparently dictate the dance moves in a competition. The “Emerald City Hoedown” turned into a battleground over… wait for it… American flag-themed shirts.

Yes, you read that right. The Borderline Dance team, all decked out in stars and stripes, thought they were ready to strut their stuff. But oh no, that would be too easy. Turns out, their patriotic attire wasn’t just a fashion statement; it was a political landmine as the shirts made some of the attendees at the dance convention feel “triggered and unsafe.”

Really? Triggered by a piece of cloth? Apparently, for some, the sight of Old Glory was too much to handle. It’s like they thought they were about to break out into a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner mid-dance.

It’s not like they were wearing MAGA hats for Pete’s sake.

But the real kicker? The organizers’ response. Instead of telling the snowflakes to STFU, they gave the Borderline Dance team an ultimatum: ditch the flag tops or hit the road.

Talk about caving to the whims of a vocal minority. And to add insult to injury, they didn’t even have the decency to provide an explanation beyond vague mutterings about inclusivity and respect.

Do you support individual military members being able to opt out of getting the COVID vaccine?

But hey, at least the Borderline Dance team stood their ground. They refused to strip off their patriotic gear, and rightly so. After all, they were there to dance, not to play political games.

And kudos to their fellow dancers, the West Coast Country Heat, who stood in solidarity with them. Together, they put on a display of unity that was more powerful than any routine they could have performed on stage.

In the end, the whole debacle was a sad reflection of where we’re at as a society. If a few people (usually leftist morons) can’t handle the sight of the American flag without melting into a puddle of offendedness, then maybe they need to take a long, hard look at themselves – and find a therapist.
