Politics and candy bars…two things that rarely mix but somehow found themselves in the same wrapper recently thanks to President Joe Biden.

It looks like the commander-in-chief decided to take a bite out of Snickers’ reputation during his State of the Union address, accusing them of a diabolical scheme called “shrinkflation.”

Snickers is fighting back.

But hold on to your nougat, folks, because Snickers isn’t taking Biden’s slander lying down. Especially when the president, not Mars Inc., is to blame for the problem.

Biden claims that Snickers, along with other snack companies, have been engaging in the sinister art of shrinkflation, reducing the size of their candy bars while keeping the prices the same. According to him, it’s like buying a bag of chips and finding out you’ve been shortchanged on the crunch.

But Mars Inc. has something to say about the whole thing. In a statement, they have said, “We have not reduced the size of Snickers singles or share size in the U.S. Like many industries, we continue to face high inflation and spikes in material costs; however, we work to absorb these extra costs wherever possible to provide affordable treats and the best value. Final prices are always at the discretion of the retailer, but we make every effort to minimize costs to provide a full range of delicious products.”

If it was me, I would have ended the paragraph with “Bite me, Biden!”

Biden is pretending to fight against something that he caused.

Biden isn’t just picking on Snickers though…He’s waging a war against shrinkflation by gaslighting everyone, painting himself as the hero fighting for the wallets of hardworking Americans.

But hold on to your candy wrappers because it’s PRESIDENT BIDEN and his inept policies and Democrat legislation that are to blame for us paying more for less as the days go by. Not Snickers or any of the other companies who are trying to survive under Democratic rule.

No matter what the president and his lyin’ Democrat friends try to tell us, we all know – out here in the real world – that inflation is NOT going down.

And shrinkflation will continue as long as Biden is in office – until our cheeseburgers are down to the size of a quarter.
