Our virtual Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has finally been released from the hospital and yes, he still has a job. That is regardless of the fact that he lied to everyone about where he was and what was happening to him at the beginning of his hospitalization. Or the fact that he’s been fighting prostate cancer.

And it seems that there has been a cover-up of his prostate cancer and his condition all along.

In a newly discovered 9-1-1 call, an unidentified aide calls for an ambulance for Austin, asking them not to turn on their lights and sirens and asking them for a “subtle” approach.

Yes, it appears there has been subterfuge with our Defense Secretary who has been covering up what has been going on with his health.

Austin was at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for about two weeks due to complications of prostate cancer surgery. The White House was unaware of his hospitalization for a few days.

But he’s still employed even though he might have been running our Defense Department via Zoom and text messages.

Once the Pentagon figured out where Austin was, he WAS given a “full suite of secured communication” according to Pentagon Press Secretary Major General Patrick Ryder who spoke about it with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto.

It was from that suite that Austin was able to oversee the strikes in Yemen and has been “actively engaged in all DOD activities worldwide” according to Ryder.

In fact, that is still the plan to do his job from a distance. Fox News reports that Austin plans to work “remotely” for a period of time while he recuperates. But don’t worry – Ryder says that Austin is “not missing a beat.”

I guess when when you have a job where you mostly are prioritizing climate change and DEI policies, you CAN run your department, doing your “full duties” from your hospital bed or at home. Even when you are fighting cancer.

And even when you are called upon to order the occasional missile strike.

Because Austin is the first Black Defense Secretary, I doubt the Biden administration will be giving Austin the boot any time soon. He’ll have to decide to leave on his own.

Austin’s not the first one to go AWOL on his job though. Gay Transportation Czar, Pete Buttigieg, took paternity leave at the beginning of his job and was gone for quite a while. Being in charge of mostly climate change and DEI (EVERYONE is pretty much only in charge of those two things), no one missed him much.

For the Dems, protecting their perceived anti-bigotry agenda and DEI hires is more important than actual competency (or any kind of transparency) when it comes to job performance.

Did Austin lie to those above him about his health condition and where he was? It doesn’t matter. Is Austin up to full mental and physical capacity for the job under his illness and medications? Doesn’t matter. He’s not going anywhere.

And yes, I have sympathy for Austin and his fight against prostate cancer. All the more reason why he should leave his post. Retire already. He should be spending his time concentrating on his health and spending time with his family.

He doesn’t need to be kept around because he is the first Black Defense Secretary and it would look bad if Biden asked him to step down.

It’s time for the country to get back to supporting equal opportunities, not equal outcomes.

It’s time to live what Martin Luther King Jr. talked about when he said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Discrimination is discrimination whether it’s White or Black privilege. It shouldn’t be used to qualify or dis-quality people from anything.

And it certainly shouldn’t be used to keep a lying Defense Secretary who is facing a possible life-threatening illness and could be compromised in his position.
