First they came after our cars. Then the cows. Then our gas stoves and leaf blowers. Now, they’re coming after YOU.
Yes, you are breathing too much, expelling too many gases into the air. It must stop. Apparently, killing off babies via abortion hasn’t done the trick. Neither did Covid. Now the crazy leftists are looking into a new angle.
According to the Daily Mail, there’s a new study by a bunch of climate change nut jobs who are claiming that the gases we exhale are fueling global warming. According to the six scientists who released the study, the methane and nitrous oxide in the air that Brits exhale makes up to 0.1 per cent of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions. And, they say, that doesn’t including burping and farting.
Dr Nicholas Cowan, an atmospheric physicist at the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology in Edinburgh, who is one of the scientists who led the study, says, “We would urge caution in the assumption that emissions from humans are negligible.”
Even though plants soak up the CO2 we exhale, they don’t take in our methane and nitrous oxide – and that is problematic.
Yep. People bad. Planet good.
The wondrously illuminating study was done by having research subjects breathe into a plastic bag. So what is our emissions footprint from breathing? That can’t really be quantified because everyone is different and breathes at a different pace. And some people cough a lot. And not everyone farts (at least not in public).
But don’t worry – I’m sure the leftists will come up with some sort of breathing monitor for everyone in the future – all the while ignoring the global warming THEY are causing by flying all over the planet for their climate change conferences which should be done only on ZOOM.
The climate change fruitcakes don’t want ANYONE around except the earth itself. In order to meet their goals, they are trying to give nature more rights. According to a recent report out of CBS News, there’s a “growing global movement is working to give plants, animals and ecosystems some of the same legal protections as humans, and in some countries, it’s leading to new legislation.”
Like I said, these people are nut jobs. If leftists get their way, we will all be gone and the planet will only be left with trees, dirt and water.
