As millions and millions of illegal aliens pour into the country over the Biden Administration’s welcome mat, they are scattering across America to places where friends and relatives have already congregated and entrenched themselves into established foreign-populated “communities.” This is not necessarily a good thing for America if that allows them to continue a desperate and criminal lifestyle brought to the United States from their home country where they will do what they need to in order to survive.
One such place, according to the Daily Mail, is “Little Venezuela” in Queens. The area is reported as long being a safe haven for Latin American migrants and lately, Biden’s never-ending border crisis is adding to the vast numbers in the community. However, with so many newly-arrived “asylum seekers” moving in, the area has been transformed. And not for the better. The illegal aliens, mostly from Venezuela and Ecuador, according to long-time residents of Queens, many of whom are migrants themselves, are saying that the neighborhood has been “ruined” by the quick and immense influx of Venezuelans who have brought, among other things, panhandling and prostitution to the area.
The newly-arrived illegal aliens coming into the area are staying in shelters (hotels, schools, empty lots) or on the streets and are costing NYC billions of dollars of taxpayer money. One resident complaining about the Venezuelans says, “They don’t work, you see them asking for money or selling candy around here…. in less than a year things here have really turned.”
This isn’t the only story we hear about crime and the danger of American cities because of unchecked immigration. Stories of theft, rapes, assaults and murder by illegal aliens are everywhere. Because of this, House Republicans are looking for data to show the link between illegal immigration and the crime in the country.
Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) sent a letter to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) (obtained by Fox News Digital). Him and 23 other lawmakers noted the estimated 1.7 million “got-aways” in the last three years – plus the more than 2.4 million illegal aliens encountered in the last fiscal year alone.
The letter stated, “The possible correlation between uncontrolled immigration and rising crime in major cities across the U.S is a major concern for Congress, local law enforcement, and everyday Americans. Congress needs data outlining incarcerations, arrests, crimes, convictions, costs, and removals of non-citizens to properly evaluate the relationship between increased illegal immigration and current criminal alien population.”
Unfortunately, the study – and any proactive steps taken to curb the problem – will come way too late for many Americans who will become victims of Biden’s open borders.
