Marie Harf, a liberal political commentator for Fox News and a former State Dept. spokesperson, outlined on Fox News’ Faulker Focus with Sandra Smith on Monday the Democrats’ plan to drag Biden over the finish line and win the 2024 presidency.

Biden’s age and competence are irrelevant to some Democrats like Harf who says that the “Democrats will take their chances (with Biden.)”

Harf told Smith, “Every election where Donald Trump has been the leader of the Republican party, Democrats have won, they have over-performed historical odds and every trend we have seen in politics. Every time when issues like abortion extremist policies are pushed by Republicans, Democrats win.”

She went on to say, “When Joe Biden is the leader of the Democratic party, Democrats are winning and they are beating an extremist MAGA agenda in every election up and down the ballot…” She ended her rant by saying that Trump can’t win with his divisive “xenophobic misogynistic rhetoric.”

However, not everyone is on board with Harf’s assessment of Biden’s chances. In a recent Wall Street Journal editorial, the editorial board says in their headline, “Joe Biden turns 81” and their sub-head says, “Running for re-election in his condition is an act of profound selfishness.”

The editorial points to an August AP poll where seventy-seven percent of Americans say he’s too old for another term including 69% of Democrats, 74% of independents, and 89% of Republicans.

Nevertheless, it looks like Biden will most likely get the nod to go ahead – as will Trump, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

So it’s another race between two old white men, neither of which looks willing to step down from the possibility of sitting in the Oval Office.

The one change, however, this time around, is the massive number of young voters who don’t approve of Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war with 70% of those aged 18-34 who disapprove of what he’s doing. That and a third-party challenger could be a game-changer for Biden – and maybe Trump as well.
