By now you have heard about the disastrous Maui trip that Biden took recently. He broke away from his 1029th vacation to visit the island to lend his support and empathy to those in Maui who have lost so much.

Unfortunately, he was not well received. Not by the islanders and not by most Americans who saw video of his trip.

Furious Maui residents, according to the Daily Mail, lined the route of his motorcade with signs telling the president to go home and some waved Trump flags. Many are also upset about the paltry amount of money being spent on the Maui disaster (Biden discussed giving them a one-time payout of $700 per household) in comparison to the billions and billions of dollars being sent to Ukraine. Gee, what a generous dude.

Arriving 13 days after the disaster and after making multiple “no comments” about the fires while he had been vacationing, Biden finally found the time to stop by the island for a media event.

But it didn’t go as he had hoped.

Not only did he make many insensitive comments talking about the “hot ground” and comparing his kitchen fire to what happened on the island, old man Biden was also seed nodding off during a memorial.

Breitbart News excoriated Biden (as they should) for “lying on the beach while Maui burns to the ground.” They said, “The wildfires began on August 8. By the following day, the fires were rampaging, thousands were without power, and thousands had been evacuated. During those two days, Biden lay on the beach and said nothing. It wasn’t until August 10 that Biden finally roused himself from a beach chair to act presidential. Before that, all he did was fire off a tweet a few hours earlier.”

The leftist media seems to be AWOL on Biden’s insensitivity to the Maui residents – and his AWOL- ness during the fires themselves. But they have plenty to say about the Republican candidates not talking about Maui in the recent Weasel News debate. MSNBC’s leftist Joy Reid said that the Republican presidential candidates didn’t take the opportunity to talk about the people who died in Maui. She said, “They didn’t even try to pretend that there’s any compassion.”

Hey, Joy. Look at your own candidate/president honey if you want to talk about someone who should give a damn about what happened in Maui.

But the leftists don’t care that Biden is an insensitive jerk. It’s just who he is. However, back in the olden days of evil Trump, they were ALL OVER the guy for every little slight they perceived – or they made up. They were ALL OVER every vacation Trump went on and every time he went out to play golf.

GQ said about Trump at the end of September in 2017, “No disaster can interrupt the president’s vacation.” One week after Hurricane Maria made landfall in Puerto Rico, the magazine says that the “response from the Trump administration has been disastrously lacking.”

CNN reported in September of 2019 how Trump was golfing during Hurricane Dorian. They said that playing golf while “tens of thousands of Americans are boarding up their homes and business and under mandatory evacuation orders” is not a good thing. If that is true, why is there no CNN article about Biden laying on the beach while Miami burned? Nope, instead there are headlines that say, “As long as it takes – Biden vows support for fire-ravaged Maui as search efforts continue.”

Yeah, we know. $700 of support. Thanks, Mr. President!
