If you were watching the Weasel News coverage of former President Trump’s rally at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey after his indictment on Tuesday, you probably laughed yourself silly when the chyron came up on the screen towards the end of the 8 p.m. hour that said, “Wannabe dictator speaks at the White House after having his political rival arrested.”

I turned to my husband at the time and said, “That’s accurate.”

Apparently I wasn’t the only one who thought so – and enjoyed the chyron appearing live on air all over the world.

American Wire News reported that “The chyron summarizes rather succinctly the reality that the Department of Justice under President Biden is attempting to take out his chief political rival in the upcoming election – an unprecedented two-tiered legal action often seen in third-world countries.”

While Trump was speaking about King Biden, Weasel News also had a split screen showing Biden speaking at a Juneteenth concert at the White House where he talked about how racist the country still is.

So maybe the chyron should have read “Race baiting wannabe dictator speaks at the White House after having his political rival arrested.” There is even more I could add, but there is only so much room in a chyron until it takes over the entire screen.

As expected, Weasel News got some heat for letting the chryon appear on their network and caved to the complainers by saying in a statement, “The chyron was taken down immediately and was addressed.”

Has CNN or MSNBC ever once apologized for their biased and derogatory coverage of President Trump? NOPE.

So instead of being proud of what they did and sticking up for an employee, the network has once again proven to me why I should continue to call them Weasel News.
