It looks like Biden’s Pentagon leaders have had enough of the woke Democrats trying to organize drag shows on military bases. A “family friendly” drag show had been scheduled to kick off Pride Month at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada last Thursday (with no minimum age requirements) but the DOD wasn’t having it.

According to The Daily Mail, the DOD gave the organizers two options: 1. Cancel it or 2. Move it off the grounds.

Although the event was originally approved by Air Force officials, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley shut it down. Milley said that these type of events are “not a suitable use of federal funds and resources.”

No kidding.

Coco Montrese, one of the drag queens scheduled to perform was disappointed. She said, “I performed in the very first drag show on the Nellis Air Force base a few years ago, but recently the attacks on the LGBTQ+ community are getting louder and louder.”

Yes, apparently, in 2021, the folks on the base got away with having a drag show called “Drag-u-Nellis” during pride month. For some reason, this kind of thing has been able to go on for a while under the cover of darkness away from much public reporting. The first ever drag show performed at a U.S. military base is reported to have taken place in 2014.

Representative Chip Roy of Texas, is asking for Defense Sec. Austin to provide more information on what exactly is going on with the woke military during the month of June. He said in a statement, ‘It has come to our attention that the Department of Defense (DoD) will once again divert American families’ tax dollars away from advancing its mission to ‘deter war and ensure our nation’s security’ to the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) events during the month of June 2023.”

He added, “As our nation faces threats around the globe, the DoD should be solely focused on mission critical activities that advance military readiness and lethality to deter and, if necessary, to defeat our adversaries. Expending vital resources on this type of political maneuvering, most apparent during the month of June, is inconsistent with the national security interests of the United States and is an inexcusable use of taxpayer dollars.”

No kidding.
