On the first day of July 1934, a man died. He deserved to die, as he and his bully boys had brought misery and death to countless innocent individuals. He and his goons broke up opposition political rallies, burned books, beat and intimidated anyone who opposed their national socialist ideology.

He was killed in a palace coup by a madman he had brought to power. But that man, as despots do, now wanted all his old allies dead so he could consolidate power.

Ernst Rohm and his SA, his army of brownshirt thugs, paid for his previous loyalty to Adolf Hitler with his life. But sadly his legacy still lives today on American college campuses.

Fox News, “Last Thursday, Stanford’s Federalist Society chapter invited US Circuit Court Judge Kyle Duncan to speak. However, the Trump-appointed judge was shouted down and heckled by hundreds of students who made it impossible for him to deliver his speech.

“Video footage widely shared on social media shows that the school’s associate dean of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), Tirien Steinbach, did nothing to quell the disruption as protesters hurled verbal abuse at the judge.

“Duncan was never given a chance to read his prepared remarks. After a hostile and profane Q&A session, he was escorted out the back door by federal marshals, who were there to protect him, the Free Beacon reported.”

Noted Law Professor Jonathan Turley commented on a similar incident at UC Davis, “The same views were evident on Tuesday night at the University of California at Davis, though with a more violent element. Another large group of black-clad protesters wearing masks attacked a venue that was to host a speech from conservative speaker Charlie Kirk. Police and students attending the event were assaulted, leaving at least one officer injured. The protesters smashed windows, hurled eggs, and used pepper spray to attack the University Credit Union Center and those who wanted to hear Kirk.”

We have bred a generation of vipers, our own young SA nurtured and programmed by woke professors who hate this country. Think I’m overstating it? Turley again.

“A chilling poll was released by 2021 College Free Speech Rankings after questioning a huge body of 37,000 students at 159 top-ranked U.S. colleges and universities. It found that sixty-six percent of college students think shouting down a speaker to stop them from speaking is a legitimate form of free speech.  Another 23 percent believe violence can be used to cancel a speech.”

Are all college students proto-fascists, left wing guttersnipes? Hardly. But there are enough of them to make a tragic difference. We have upcoming a significant number of young American voters who don’t believe in the Bill of Rights, liberty, or a free market. To overcome these modern brownshirts will take everything this country has, and then some. Pray we still have the wherewithal to do it.
