Yes, the “racist” and partisan Democrats have done it again. They’ve taken the name “Benjamin Carson” off of the “Benjamin Carson High School of Science and Medicine” in Detroit. Yes, they not only removed his name from a high school, they removed his name from a SCIENCE AND MEDICINE high school.

Incredulous, I know. Disgusting? Yes. Sexist? Probably. Bigoted? Perhaps. Partisan? Definitely. Intolerant? For sure.

Also…abominable, awful, distasteful, hateful, loathsome, nasty, sleazy… and right up the alley of who the Democrats are.

If a Black man who was raised in poverty by a single mom in Detroit and who ultimately was able to become a renowned neurosurgeon, professor, Presidential Medial of Freedom recipient, founder of a scholarship fund, and Secretary for Housing and Urban Development (among many other things), can’t make the grade to stay on the name of a school, then NO ONE has the bonafides to make it. NO ONE.

The school will now be named after Dr. Ethelene Crockett, activist and the first African-American woman to be certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Michigan. And BIG TIME abortion supporter. Well, of course she was. It’s another thing that Democrats want to teach young kids. Abortion is a right, after all.

But naming the school after an abortion supporter is just icing on the cake because this is all about Trump. Ben Carson’s crime is being a conservative – and more importantly being connected to Orange Man Bad. It’s politics. Being a Democrat is ALWAYS more important than being Black when you are a Democrat.

The hate of Trump is so pervasive among Democrats that they must remove ANYTHING associated with him. Even if that means removing about the most accomplished Black man in the country’s name from a school with about a 90% majority Black enrollment.

Carson’s connection to Donald Trump spurred discussions and a survey in the school’s community (where people could vote multiple times) and a vote by the school board with a majority in favor of the name change at their failing school.

Dr. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King Jr., wrote a piece for Fox News where she said, “Like millions of patriotic Americans across the country, I was shocked to see that ‘cancel culture’ had come for Dr. Ben Carson when the Detroit school board voted to remove the name of the Benjamin Carson High School of Medicine and Science in November.”

She went on to say, “Dr. Carson and his wife, Candy, are both close friends of mine, and I can personally testify that he is a man of faith and strong character.”

She pointed out the Trump hate that led to the vote by saying, “Upon deeper inspection, the motivations of the Detroit school board are even more outrageous than one could ever imagine. In a push to get the name removed all the way back in 2018, former school board member LaMar Lemmons said that having Dr. Ben Carson’s name on the school is ‘synonymous with having Trump’s name on our school in blackface.’ Lemmons went on to say that by ‘doing Trump’s bidding,’ Dr. Carson has ‘adversely affected the African American community’ and “allied himself with a president that says he is a white nationalist and sends dog whistles that even the deaf can hear.’”

King pointed out that the Detroit school board members haven’t said anything negative about President Biden and his “you ain’t black” comment about people who wouldn’t be voting for him.

She also said the re-naming of the school has nothing to do with “genuine concern” for the future of children because their focus has been on this issue and not paying attention to the “dismal education statistics they produce for our children” which include the fact that only 16% of Detroit Public Schools Community District’s middle school students tested at or above the proficient level for reading and only 13% did for math.

Pathetic.

This school seems to want to keep their children down, uneducated and uninspired by greatness.

As King concludes in her article, “Dr. Carson is the sort of man we ALL should pray our children to grow up to emulate, and he is an inspiration to millions of Americans from all walks of life. With this decision, the Detroit school board has placed its own political agenda above truly educating our kids and preparing them for the future.”

The school actually has the stones to say that the promote DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion). But it’s only for those chosen folks that they WANT to include.

What’s the lesson here? Well the school is telling everyone that what you DO isn’t nearly important as WHO YOU ARE.

And you MUST become and stay a Democrat. Or you will reap the consequences.
