If you are a professor who wants to move ahead at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM), you must pledge allegiance to the Democrat party and show that you are fully committed to advancing their DEI ideology (diversity, equity and inclusion).

According to Biz Pac Review, the school is asking their teachers to fully engage in the DEI lifestyle in order to be considered for promotions or tenure. The information is in a document called “Example Faculty Activities Toward Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” which includes explaining that diversity includes, but is not limited to “intersectional identities formed around ideas and experiences related to race, ethnicity, class, color, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, size, disability, veteran status, national origin, religion, language and/or marital status.”

The leftists continue to group and segregate the American people so that there is a divide in the culture and they can siphon off votes from their appointed groups – while calling everyone else racist, sexist, etc..

The professors at this university must not just believe in DEI, they must demonstrate it in their teachings, use DEI in research through grants and projects, give out awards and recognition and mentor “underrepresented” and “international” students and faculty. And in their spare time, they can join non-profit boards that deal in social justice and get involved in activities or consulting work that is related to DEI. Yes, it’s a 24/7 endeavor. Or else. Or else you’re stuck in your position forever with no advancement. Or…as we all know will be coming soon…they will eventually get the boot right out of the university.

The document describes how the DEI activities will be documented for the purpose of “annual faculty review” and/or highlighted in promotion and tenure dossiers as “work consistent with the Social and campus values.”

I’m thinking that maybe, with the limited time that medical students have, maybe they should volunteer at a low income health care center or do something actually related to the career they are taking classes for. Or heck, maybe devote their free time to their own family, friends and pets – or any activity of their choice – you know, the whole, “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness thing” as opposed to doing what the deep state and their leftist cohorts want them to do.

Do you support individual military members being able to opt out of getting the COVID vaccine?

The word “medical” only appears five times in the entire document and four of the times, it’s in the same paragraph describing the people who are underrepresented in medicine.

The group “Do No Harm”, who got the document with a FOIA request says, “In each case, IUSM is indicating that current and prospective faculty need to hold not just specific political views, but translate those views into concrete action. This is a violation of medical educators’ rights. Here’s hoping a faculty member sues IUSM – or the Indiana state government intervenes. IUSM shouldn’t be allowed to force faculty to engage in political activities.”

Amen. We still have a Constitution after all, although it’s rarely followed by the Democrat party.
