The Democrats are always talking about democracy and the popular vote until it bites them in the rear end. And that happened on Saturday night after Elon Musk had a Twitter vote on Friday that asked if Trump’s Twitter account should be reinstated.
YES got 51.8% of the vote and those opposed were 48.2%. 15 million votes were cast. (And oddly enough, it didn’t take weeks to count the votes.)
So it’s ‘too bad, so sad’ for the Dems – because on Saturday, November 19th, Musk tweeted, “The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”
To those who don’t speak Latin, it means “the voice of the people is the voice of God.”
Trump had been given a lifetime ban following the January 6th attack on the Capitol and the Democrats thought that lifetime meant lifetime. They aren’t at all happy with the recent turn of events.
Leftist Rob Reiner tweeted, “Elon Musk is letting a man who led a violent Insurrection to overthrow the United States Government back on this platform. Letting the Lies and Disinformation continue to poison the American bloodstream.” (Why is Reiner capitalizing words indiscriminately like Trump does??)
President of the NAACP, Derrick Johnson, urged advertisers to stop working with Twitter. He released a statement that said, “In Elon Musk’s Twittersphere, you can incite an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, which led to the deaths of multiple people, and still be allowed to spew hate speech and violent conspiracies on his platform. Any advertiser still funding Twitter should immediately pause all advertising.”
By deaths, what actually happened at the Capitol on Jan. 6th was two heart attacks, one drug overdose and one Trump supporter who was shot and killed by the Capitol Police – but Democrats certainly don’t mind spewing lies and hate speech and violent conspiracies.
Kellyanne Conway’s hubby, George, tweeted out on Sunday that he was leaving Twitter. Whether it’s about Elon or Trump (or both) is unknown. He tweeted, “I think we are seeing a sickness here that may be even worse in some respects than what we’ve seen over the last several years, which I didn’t think was possible. I think we’re pretty much done here. See you elsewhere. Love you all (with previously specified exceptions).
It’s hard to believe George is REALLY leaving though. The man doesn’t have a life. Twitter is his obsession. It makes him relevant (or so he thinks). I counted his tweets and re-tweets from November 18th through the 20th. In only three days, he had 274 of them!!! With 152 of them being Trump- related.
Dude has a problem.
So he’s going cold-turkey? Good luck, buddy.
Yes, the counting took a while – just to provide YOU with important information. That’s about 35 minutes of my life I can’t get back. You’re welcome.
I’m actually guessing that Trump won’t be back on Twitter anytime soon anyway so Ugly George is jumping the gun a bit on his exodus to protest the Elon/Trump conspiracy to ruin Twitter and democracy as we know it.
I just can’t see Trump leaving his own platform – his own company – for the cesspool of Twitter.
On Saturday, Trump spoke about whether he’d return to the bad bird site during a virtual appearance at a Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual leadership meeting, “I don’t see any reason for it, they have a lot of problems at Twitter, you see what’s going on. It may make it, it may not make it.”
But then again, Orange Man Bad is up to 87.4 million followers on Twitter when I wrote this and 4.61 million on TruthSocial. So that needs serious consideration. If I were him, I’d have my chef or my limo drive tweet for him. That would be fun. What DID Trump have for breakfast today? Inquiring minds want to know.
Or Trump could tweet vague and random thing that link back to his TruthSocial account.
I’m having fun with Trump being back on Twitter though. As a fun new hobby, I’m tweeting out old Trump tweets just to annoy the leftists so they can see Trump tweets all over Twitter whether he comes back to the platform or not.
