In publications I write for, at the DNC, in the state Dem parties, and now in the liberal media there is a growing thought: Neither Joe Biden or Kamala Harris will be on the Dem ticket in 2024.

As a candidate he was a fluke who barely beat a president who was expert at shooting himself in the foot. Biden didn’t win so much as Trump lost.

As a president Biden has been a failure and is too old and senile for further electoral credibility. Harris is not ready for prime time. That’s not just me, that was, get this, the NYT several days ago. And the old boring Gray Lady doesn’t take a breath without a green light from the Dem establishment.

According to the Times and their no doubt leftist reporters Reid Epstein and Jennifer Medina, “many Democratic lawmakers and party officials are venting their frustrations with President Biden’s struggle to advance the bulk of his agenda, doubting his ability to rescue the party from a predicted midterm trouncing and increasingly viewing him as an anchor that should be cut loose in 2024.”

The report noted “nearly 50 Democratic officials” and “disappointed voters” who are “alarmed about Republicans’ rising strength and extraordinarily pessimistic about an immediate path forward” under Biden.

There is “low enthusiasm” from Biden voters and worry from the party about his “leadership, his age and his capability to take the fight to former President Donald J. Trump a second time,” the scribes wrote. Steve Simeonidis, a Democratic National Committee member from Florida said, “To say our country was on the right track would flagrantly depart from reality,” and wants Biden to announce he wouldn’t run again immediately after the midterms. A good bet is that just might happen. Though, they might have to take him off the mind altering drugs and reveal the man beneath the mask to do it.

The Times dwells on “repeated failures of his administration to pass big-ticket legislation on signature Democratic issues” and “halting efforts to use the bully pulpit of the White House to move public opinion” – is “sagging approval ratings and a party that, as much as anything, seems to feel sorry for him.”

Epstein and Medina say Democrats are “struggling to explain away a series of calamities for the party” including, “inflation rates unseen in four decades, surging gas prices, a lingering pandemic, a spate of mass shootings, a Supreme Court poised to end the federal right to an abortion.”

The report said that “nearly all the Democrats interviewed” have a “deep concern about his political viability,” and stated they’re embarrassed by his incoherence. “They have watched as Biden has repeatedly rattled global diplomats with unexpected remarks that were later walked back by his White House staff, and as he has sat for fewer interviews than any of his recent predecessors.”

Who then? They have a bench. But it’s weak. The woke mob will want a minority woman. The establishment will want a winner. In 2024 you can’t have both. Unless, as party types could accept and the woke would love, Michelle Obama gets in. Yes, there are that many dumb people in America who would vote for her.

Though unbeknownst to many, she has a radical past. That’s why she’s coming off as a Suzy Homemaker type these days, to try and spin her hard left past. If the Dems thought about it, Tammy Duckworth would be a smart choice. But she has no national name, yet.

Those two or not, a Dem consensus is taking shape all over nation. They want to dump weak Biden and airhead Harris. After their failed midterms the call for it may become a roar.
