The Olympics aren’t really about individual accomplishment, no matter what the athletes think. At least not to us.

Yes, there are the occasional athletes that we have tuned in to watch like Michael Phelps, Simone Biles and Mary Lou Retton, but for the most part we tune in to the Olympics to see American athletes beat the other countries.

We watch sports that we usually don’t watch like badminton, archery, diving, handball and rowing. And we watch athletes that we’ve never heard of compete against people from other continents.

It’s a time when America is on the same page, united in one cause – to trounce every other country in everything we compete in. All 200+ nations.

AMERICA FIRST.

Even if the athletes are not competing as a team, they’re on OUR team.

Do you support individual military members being able to opt out of getting the COVID vaccine?

The American team.

They wear the uniform. They walk proudly with flags raised during the opening and closing ceremonies. They represent us.

It’s what the Olympics is all about for every country that shows up to compete.

So when some entitled anti-American degenerate decides to turn away from the national anthem after qualifying to be in the Olympics…

When some ungrateful leftist disrespectfully covers her head with a t-shirt during the National Anthem to make some social justice statement…

That is not someone we want going to the Olympics to represent America.

Gwen Berry, a hammer thrower who no one ever heard of except for her rantings about social justice said, “The anthem doesn’t speak for me. It never has.”

Fine Gwen. Then drop out. No one cares what you think about the Anthem. You represent our country, not yourself. The fact that the Olympic committee is letting her go to Tokyo is a disgrace.

At the Olympics, we all know she’ll be participating in more anti-American antics because she’s pledged to do so – to raise awareness about social injustices in America while at the Tokyo games.

Biden’s Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, defended what Gwen did.

Of course she did.

Psaki also trashed the country in the process when she said that Biden would say that “part of the pride in our country means recognizing there are moments where we are – as a country, haven’t lived up to our highest ideas. And it means respecting the rights of people granted to them in the Constitution to peacefully protest.”

If Democrats want to protest, they can do so during a pandemic and it’s fine. They can riot and commit arson during their protesting and it’s okay too.

And at the Olympics, they are apparently free to trash our country on the world stage and that’s okay as well.

Mostly I think this whole thing is just about a person who is competing in an event no one watches or cares about trying to put herself into the spotlight with her actions.

She wants to be one of the top stories of the Olympic games whether she wins a medal or not.

Well done, Gwen. You’ve done it.

I’ll be watching and cheering against her competitor no matter what country they are from.

When she loses, she won’t be able to do her spoiled brat display of anti-Americanism and be all over social media and the talk show circuit.

Both your hammer and your mouth will be silent.
