Tuesday night Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans scored a victory of tremendous proportions over the Democrats by defeating the HR1/SR1 vote rigging bill. This was McConnell at his best and the hilariously petulant responses by Democrats proves the scope of the win.

Here are three Democrats and their delicious public meltdowns. Notice the sactimony, the fake indignation, the Chicken Little warnings, and most hilarious of all, the impotent threats.

“I want to be clear about what just happened on the Senate floor,” a beaten Schumer said following the vote. “Every single Senate Republican just voted against starting debate … on legislation to protect Americans’ voting rights…This vote, I’m ashamed to say, is further evidence that voter suppression has become part of the official platform of the Republican Party…Once again, the Senate Republican minority has launched a partisan blockade of a pressing issue,” he said on the Senate floor. He insisted that the vote was the “starting gun” and would not be the last time a bill to allow cheating by Democrats would be up for discussion. Yeah Chuck, but by the next time the Republicans will have the Senate and it will never get to the floor.

A black radical who is cozy with Louis Farrakhan, Mark Thompson, threw a hissy fit that could be heard on the moons of Jupiter.  “This is a holdover, really, from the time of enslavement,” Thompson barked. “Many of these senators represent places that don’t have the same population while the majority of people support this legislation. This is not a democracy. This is a minority that is controlling this, and, you know, at the risk of making a controversial metaphor, I mean. We know what minority rule is, and there’s a term for minority rule and that’s called apartheid. We fought against that as well.” That’s the new Democrat talking point, everything is “apartheid”. Israel is an apartheid state, we are, Munchkinland is. And by the way, the real apartheid as practiced by the South Africans was way more than just minority rule. But of course, cretins like Mark Thompson don’t read history.

And then there was the reliably barmy AOC. “Call me radical, but I do not believe a minority of Senators should be able to block voting rights for millions of people. But I guess I’m just from that far-left school of thought that legislation should pass when a majority of legislators vote for it.” Guess the comely airhead bartender has never read Federalist 10 or J.S. Mill and thus is not familiar with the concept of the tyranny of the majority. Quelle surprise.

There are also idiots on our side, usually on social media. These are drooling bumpkins who don’t want to give McConnell the credit he deserves for the win. One said the Republican Senate Leader was “still useless.” Ah yes, McConnell does yeoman’s work for the Republic, kills an odious bill that would have entrenched Democrat cheating, and generally holds off the riff raff and he is…useless? Yup, rank stupidity on both sides. We are lucky most of it emanates from the Left.
