The despicable Biden-run Defense Department has rejected the request for the yearly Memorial Day weekend motorcycle ride in DC – and waited until the last minute to do so.

The ride which is now called “Rolling to Remember” was taken over by the AMVETS in 2020. It was previously organized by the Rolling Thunder and has been going on for 32 years.

The AMVETS event is designed to raise awareness for prisoners of war and the troops still missing in action as well as the issue of veteran suicide.

The AMVETS themselves cancelled the ride last year because of COVID-19 concerns but even though they are more than capable of providing a safe event this year, the Biden administration is still denying their permit.

According to Stars and Stripes, motorcyclists usually use the Pentagon’s parking lost as a staging area for the motorcycle ride but the Defense Department has denied their permit because of the pandemic and the anticipated size of the crowd.

The Biden syndicate continue to use the pandemic, which they don’t want to ever end, to go after political enemies and rule over us in perpetuity.

Even though the permit was denied, thousands of motorcyclists will still be gathering in DC that weekend. There just might not be a place to gather before or after the drive along the National Mall.

Joe Chenelly, National Executive Director of AMVETS, who was expecting a decision on the permit in January, hadn’t’ heard back from the Pentagon and finally told them he needed an answer by April 16th.

And the answer was no.

Chenelly said, “The biggest disappointment in the Pentagon’s denial was that AMVETS was ignored for months as its professional staff in Washington requested numerous times an opportunity to hear the Defense Department’s concerns and present a [coronavirus] safety plan.”

The AMVETS are confident they can hold a safe demonstration but weren’t given the opportunity to present one. Even though the AMVETS are part of Biden’s “COVID-19 Community Corps” group that helps inform people about the vaccines, they are obviously not capable enough, in the eyes of the Biden administration, to hold their event safely.

So, as leftists do, they use you for what they need you for and cast you aside. The government didn’t even allow a conversation between the Pentagon and the AMVETS to take place before refusing the application.

Chenelly added, “There are no options with as much space and convenient routes to the memorials, meaning it will be more difficult, disruptive, and expensive than if the Pentagon parking lots were available.”

Biden doesn’t give a rat’s rear end.

Veterans are the last on Biden’s list of his priorities. If this was a demonstration for illegal aliens, they’d be allowed to use the parking lot and get free pizza and drinks.

If it was a Black Lives Matter protest, the Biden folks would bend over backwards to accommodate them.

Does Antifa or Black Lives Matter even need to get permits? No. They just show up and participate in their terrorist activities. They do what they want to do and are applauded for it.

In a statement, California Republican REP. Darrell Issa said, “The Biden Administration is making a terrible mistake by blocking a veterans charity from the use of Pentagon parking for the Rolling to Remember POW/MIA remembrance motorcycle ride. Sadly, the decision seems to be more about politics than safety. Leading up to the decision, the Pentagon refused to talk with event organizers. They refused to respond to Congress about this topic. And now they are claiming COVID as an excuse.”

He continued, “Just days ago, President Biden hosted a drive-in rally in Georgia. The Rolling to Remember event is no less safe. The only difference is the politics that are denying veterans the opportunity to honor their fallen comrades. If patriotic veterans are not welcome at the Pentagon, are they truly welcome anywhere in the Biden Administration?”

Amen to that. It’s a legitimate question.

I am, however, very glad to hear that the veterans will still be showing up to ride regardless of if and where a new rallying point might be secured.

I hope the ride is a bigger ride than ever before.

Ride on, biker patriots.
