I often wonder if the elected democrats failed their reading classes in school – or if they just don’t care what the Constitution has to say.

I’m pretty sure it’s the latter.

The Constitution, in plain language, outlines impeachment. The House can obviously do what they want (and have) because they have the “sole power of impeachment.”

That’s why they were able to have a two hour impeachment on Wednesday with no proof of any of the charges against Trump and no hearings.

Also in plain language, the Constitution says, “When the President of the United States is tried…”

Yes, you have to BE the President of the United States to be tried.

Do you support individual military members being able to opt out of getting the COVID vaccine?

By completing the poll, you agree to receive emails from SteveGruber.com, occasional offers from our partners and that you've read and agree to our privacy policy and legal statement.

And then in even clearer language, it says “Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to remove from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office or honor, Trust or Profit under the United States…”

Yes. It says no further than to remove from Office.

If Trump is tried after January 20th, he will not be IN office.

So no matter what delusions that the democrats, the media, or the Rinos live under, it’s unconstitutional to try and convict a past president through impeachment.

Not that any of them care.

The media and the leftist constitutional “scholars” will egg them on to do it.

The nut jobs at the leftist Jeff Bezos owned Washington Post say that the Senate retains the constitutional authority to conduct an impeachment trial against the soon-to-be-former president.

They can say what they want but it doesn’t make it true. It doesn’t change the words in the Constitution.

The Washington Post incorrectly cites Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution to prove their point which says the President and other civil officers “shall be removed from office” following impeachment and conviction by the Senate.

Earth to Bezos: Trump will no longer be in office. Shall I send you a dictionary so you know what words mean?

Senator Tom Cotton released a statement where he said that the Senate lacks constitutional authority to conduct impeachment proceedings against a former president. He added, “The Founders designed the impeachment process as a way to remove officeholders from public office – not an inquest against private citizens.”

But the party of Trump haters will continue their impeachment fraud because it’s all they have to offer the public. Distraction and Trump hate.

They are trying to make it so Trump can never run for President again. And what about ending all of his other presidential benefits including ending his Secret Service detail? Yes, that might be of interest to them as well.

Their party is fractured, split between liberals, moderates, progressives and communists. Hating Trump is what unites them. It’s all they know.

So their clown show will continue throughout the Harris-Obama administration in order to keep everyone in the party happy.
