Well here is a story that you don’t hear about all the time. Since COVID-19 spread around the globe, society has had a major surge in the use of technology, and with that comes a certain learning curve as people navigate the new world. For some, like CNN’s Jeffery Toobin, it might take a little longer to differentiate between work time and pleasure time.

Luckily, the zoom call we are about to mention wasn’t recording, but you can watch the clip below to hear more about the alleged details. As it stands now, the New Yorker has suspended their staff writer Jeffery Toobin for allegedly exposing himself and masturbating while on a zoom call with his team.

While details are still coming forward, what we do know is Vice first reported the incident on Monday. According to the initial report, members of the New Yorker and WNYC radio team were on a zoom conference call with legal analysts Jeffery Toobin. It was around the end of the call that Toobin took upon himself to unbutton his pants and pleasure himself in front of numerous people.

Suspended shortly after, Toobin released an apology for his Neanderthal behavior saying, “I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends, and co-workers,” Toobin said. “I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video.”

Although technology can be difficult to navigate, it still doesn’t explain why Toobin thought right after a zoom call was the best time to please himself. It should also be noted that majority of webcams come with some sort of “recording” light to notify when the camera is in use.

Still, no matter the cause, CNN has yet to comment as they haven’t even suspended him over the incident. Given that it is CNN and Toobin is one of their popular stars, the news organization wouldn’t want to damage anybody’s career. Just last week, they tried to bury the Hunter Biden scandal so it wouldn’t hurt the drug addict’s reputation. According to CNN, “Jeff Toobin has asked for some time off while he deals with a personal issue, which we have granted.”

Personal issues?
