The singer Miley Cyrus spoke out in a new interview to claim that she once had an encounter with aliens and was “chased down by some sort of UFO.”

“I was driving through San Bernardino with my friend, and I got chased down by some sort of UFO,” Cyrus, 27, told Interview magazine. “I’m pretty sure about what I saw, but I’d also bought weed wax from a guy in a van in front of a taco shop, so it could have been the weed wax.”

The “Midnight Sky” singer added that the UFO resembled a “flying snowplow” and was “glowing yellow.”

“I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too,” she said. “There were a couple of other cars on the road and they also stopped to look, so I think what I saw was real.”

Though most people would be terrified in this situation (if it really happened), Cyrus said that she felt no fear and even made eye contact with the being sitting in the driver’s seat.

“I think that’s what really shook me, looking into the eyes of something that I couldn’t quite wrap my head around,” she admitted, adding that she was disturbed by the experience. “I was shaken for, like, five days. It f—ked me up,” she said. “I couldn’t really look at the sky the same. I thought they might come back.”

Believe it or not, Cyrus is not the only singer who has brought up an encounter with aliens as of late. Demi Lovato recently claimed to have had an experience with aliens herself following her breakup from her ex-fiancé Max Ehrich.

“Over the past couple months I have dug deep into the science of consciousness and experienced not only peace and serenity like I’ve never known but I also have witnessed the most incredibly profound sightings both in the sky as well as feet away from me,” she wrote on Instagram this week alongside a series of photos.

In this same interview, Cyrus talked about how odd life has been for her in quarantine amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

“This is the longest I’ve ever gone without being on the road,” she said. “I’ve been touring for the last ten years, and this is the first year that I haven’t done it. Dolly Parton, who’s my godmother, has been touring for the last 40 years, and this is the first time she hasn’t been on the road.”

When asked if Parton is really her godmother, Cyrus replied, “Yeah. She’s the best. She’s the most wickedly creative person. She started making a Christmas album in January because she was so fucking bored in all of this.”
