Meghan Markle and Prince Harry typically like to keep their 1 year-old son Archie out of the public eye as much as possible. That’s why it came as a welcome surprise to royal fans when Meghan gave an update on how Archie is enjoying his new life living in Santa Barbara, California.

“We are doing well. [Archie] is so good,” Meghan said, according to People Magazine. “We are very lucky with our little one. He is just so busy, he is all over the place. He keeps us on our toes. We are just so lucky.”

Harry had previously said that he had been spending lots of time with Archie outdoors amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’ve got a little space outside, which I’m fortunate enough to have so I need to get him playing some Rugby League,” Harry said last month. “Our little man is our number one priority, but our work after that is the second priority and we’re just trying to do everything we can to do our part to make the world a better place.”

This comes two months after Meghan, Harry, and Archie moved into a mansion in the ritzy Montecito community of Santa Barbara.

“Archie is really happy, and he has space to run free,” a source said. “The house came with a play structure that he’ll be climbing in no time.”

Archie has also been making lots of cameo appearances on his parents’ frequent Zoom calls.

“Archie is no stranger to climbing in front of the web camera and making little impromptu cameos,” said “Finding Freedom” author and royal reporter Omid Scobie.

This comes after Meghan opened up about her thoughts on the COVID-19 crisis, saying that people “are all going through a reset and we are all going through a moment of reckoning — and probably a reevaluation of what really matters.”

“For me, it’s been amazing to spend time with my husband and watch our little one grow and that’s where our attention has been,” she added. “In addition to, of course, how we can be a part of the change of energy that so many people are craving right now and whatever we can do to help in that capacity.”
