The talk show host Kelly Ripa celebrated her 50th birthday on Friday, and to mark the occasion, her actor husband Mark Consuelos spoke out to praise his “sexy” wife.

“Happy birthday to my little ray of sunshine ☀️ I love you, sexy.. ♥️♥️♥️,” Consuelos, 49, wrote in an Instagram post.

“Thank you baby wish we were together ,” Ripa replied, referring to the fact that Consuelos is in Canada shooting a movie.

“We love you so much @kellyripa. The light of our lives,” Lola added, according to Entertainment Tonight.

This comes one month after Ripa said that Lola has taught her “so much about being a modern-day woman.”

“It really gives me hope — her generation really supports each other, the way she and her friends have each other’s backs,” she told People Magazine. “For all the talk about women helping other women, I see it in her generation in a way I never have before.”

As for what Lola has learned from her parents, she said that her father has taught her “to take everything day by day — not to dwell on the past but to focus on the future.”
