The former professional skier Lindsey Vonn took to Instagram on Friday to fire back at haters who have been body shaming her for posting bikini photos of herself.

In a lengthy post, Vonn opened up about struggling with confidence lately due to all the hate she has been receiving.

“I’ve posted quite a few swimsuit pics lately, which is scarier than it seems,” Vonn wrote alongside some bikini snaps of herself. “Even as an athlete there are ruthless comments and media stories that tear apart my body and I admit it sometimes hurts me. I’m a normal person and sometimes I slouch, my stomach folds over, my cellulite shows on my butt, or I don’t fill out my swimsuit top just right…

“But, I always remember how my body has helped me achieve amazing things in my life and I am proud of how strong I am,” she added. “I’m not a size zero and that’s perfectly fine with me. One thing I can promise all of you is that I never Photoshop my photos and am proud to officially never had any plastic surgery of any kind. No Botox, no fillers, no mini surgeries. Literally nothing. I am 100% natural and 100% Lindsey.”

“So to anyone who is feeling self conscious or down about their appearance; stay strong, stay healthy and love yourself no matter what the haters say,” Vonn concluded. “Special thanks to all of you who have been positive and supportive… lets keep up the culture of body positivity going!”

The photos Vonn shared in the post were unfiltered images of her in bikinis. The final photo was of some of the “ruthless” comments that she’s received from internet trolls.

This comes after it was reported that Vonn and her fiancé P.K. Subban have bought a mansion in Beverly Hills, California for $6.75 million. Vonn put her home in Vail, Colorado on the market back in the fall so that she could spend more time with Subban in New Jersey, where he plays professional hockey for the New Jersey Devils

“Since she is now retired from professional skiing, she is spending more time there to be close to him while he is in season,” her rep said at the time.
