Tom Bergeron had hosted “Dancing With The Stars” since it premiered back in 2005 before he was abruptly fired with no warning in July and replaced by supermodel Tyra Banks. Now, after the cast of the new season  of “DWTS” was announced on Wednesday, Bergeron is shading the show in a hilarious way in his Twitter bio.

Bergeron poked fun at his former job in his Twitter bio by writing, “Former Co-Host of ‘Footwork with the Famous.” Though fans just took notice of the jab on Wednesday, Bergeron clarified that he actually first put it up “weeks ago.”

Nevertheless, Twitter users have voiced their support for the shade Bergeron is throwing at his former gig.

“@Tom_Bergeron is the best and that show will never be the same. So salt on Tom, salt on!” one fan wrote, with another adding, “Did you see @Tom_Bergeron’s new Twitter bio? The show will not be the same without his easy humor.”

“It’s the best bio I’ve ever seen,” a third user commented. A fourth wrote, “I was so hoping that the reason they axed you was because you were coming back to be a surprise contestant.”

Fans were shocked and horrified when Bergeron revealed his firing back in July.

“Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me,” he tweeted at the time. “It’s been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career.  I’m grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made.  That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?”

Since then, Bergeron has gotten support from former contestants, judges, and professional dancers on the show.

“I’ve texted back and forth with Tom. I would’ve never made that decision, obviously. I think Tom and Erin are the backbone of the show,” former “DWTS” champion Alfonso Ribeiro told US Weekly of the firings. “I have no idea where they’re going to go and what changes they want to make and why and how these decisions were made. But I think people like myself will absolutely miss Tom and Erin. It’ll be hard for me to see the show in whatever new form it is.”
