GOP Senator John Barrasso, R-WY, is known around Capitol Hill as a take no prisoners Republican. His staff are politically tough as nails, as is the Senator. This weekend, on Meet the Press and later on Fox News, he counseled the party, the president, and his fellow senators ramming speed in their battle to get, it looks like, either Judge Barbara Lagoa or Judge Amy Coney Barrett confirmed as the next justice on the United States Supreme Court.

Barrasso was initially responding to this tripe from Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, “We’re here to protect the rights of women — their rights to their body, to choose, their rights to health care and equality would go down the drain if that wish were not realized. A court with a kind of nominee President Trump will choose will undo all of that and not make global warming less likely but more likely and it will come quicker… We do not want to turn the clock back. And we only need two more senators who will abide by RGB’s wish. Two said it. We need two more.” Protecting women by denying one of them a place on the high court. Uh huh.

Barrasso gave it back to the Democrats on Fox News, “The one question Senator [Benjamin] Cardin[, D-Md.,] wouldn’t answer [in the previous block] was what’s Chuck Schumer going to do. Let me be clear – he continued – if the Democrats win the White House and the Senate and have the House, they will change the rules and they will blow up the Senate…They have an entire war room working on this and they will expand the number of members of Supreme Court regardless of what the Republicans and President Trump do.”

Exactly. The Democrats are on a rape and pillage mission. Anything in their way will be considered fit for annihilation by them. So even if the Republicans try to abide by technical parliamentary rules and Mr. Nice Guy attitudes all they will get for their troubles will be a right upper cut to the kisser and tire marks on their backs. Nope, the Democrats want a dirty fight? Give it to them.
