Earlier this week, we reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had signed a deal with Netflix that could be worth up to $150 million. Now, however, this has already come back to bite them, as a survey has revealed that British citizens are not happy about it.

YouGov just conducted a survey of 2,713 adult U.K. citizens, asking them, “Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have announced that they have solidified their plans to make wide-ranging film and TV content for Netflix. How interested are you, if at all, in watching this?”

A staggering Sixty-four percent of those who responded to the survey said they were “not interested at all,” while 20% said they were “not very interested.” An abysmal 3% of those who responded said they were “very interested,” and 9% expressed that they were “fairly interested.”

The results of the survey revealed that 18-24-year-olds expressed more interest, compared to 25-49-year-olds. The least interested group in the survey were those who are 50-65 years old.

This comes days after Harry and Meghan’s deal with Netflix was announced.

“Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope,” the couple told the New York Times. “As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.”

They went on to say that Netflix’s “unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action.”

“Harry and Meghan have inspired millions of people all around the world with their authenticity, optimism and leadership,” said Ted Sarandos, co-CEO and chief content officer of Netflix. “We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home — and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere.”

Sources have said that Harry and Meghan did not tell the Queen about their Netflix deal before announcing it.

“Harry did not inform the Queen about the Netflix deal,” a source told The Sun.

“Her Majesty is all too aware of the pitfalls of when senior royals embark on lucrative projects – Prince Edwards’ production flop and some of the deals Sarah Ferguson has signed over the years to name a few,” the insider added. “Her view is simple, the Royals are not for sale and danger surrounds high profile roles outside of the institution itself. ”

“But knowing her grandson Harry as she does, the Queen will know there would have been little chance of talking Harry and Meghan out of it,” the source continued.
