We keep saying it, but 2020 has brought out the worst in people.  The nation was divided going into this new decade, but you add in COVD-19 and the hysteria surrounding it with the death of George Floyd and the only word left to describe our current state is mayhem.

Yesterday we discussed a crazy woman who verbally, and borderline physically, assaulted a young man who was simply doing his job of repossessing her shed.  The expletives thrown around and erratic behavior was absolutely unacceptable, but sadly more of what we are seeing on a daily basis.

Perhaps the thing that seems to spark confrontations and altercations more than anything in recent months surrounds the argument over masks, particularly as they pertain to COVID-19.

Every state and county is handling the mask situation differently, with some mandating it and others leaving it as optional with a social distancing requirement in place.

Point being, while many counties and businesses within (local or national) are going to a mask mandate, there are still a great many questions as to the benefits that the masks provide.  Certainly they make some people feel better, which is fine, but the data isn’t conclusive for either side yet.  Though don’t tell that to someone who is strongly for one side or the other – you’ll get an earful and maybe punched in the mouth.

Still, regardless of how the rules have been put in place, people have shown just how bad they are at minding their own business.  We have documented numerous instances of citizens trying to serve as the mask police because they are terrified of the virus – to which we would say you should probably just stay home then – but some have grown violent in their encounters.

An elderly woman pepper-sprayed a young couple and their puppy at a dog park as they tried to have a picnic, all because they weren’t wearing masks, while they were outside…trying to eat lunch.

There was also the infamous incident involving a woman throwing her hot coffee in the face of a man – who again was outside preparing to eat outside- all because he wasn’t wearing a mask.

But it isn’t just the terrified pro-maskers that have grown violent.  Stupid lives on both sides, and rather than mind their own business some individuals have decided to make every outing into a confrontation.

Take this father, for example, who went on a vulgar rant to other mask wearing customers and employees in a grocery store in Tucson, Arizona .  He very clearly is against masks and let them know, but his opinion should have been kept to himself and his behavior in check.  Instead pandemonium ensued.

It got so heated in fact that one of his sons had to carry him out of the store. You can watch the video below.

While the content of the initial conversation is unknown, since the video picks up midway through the encounter, the fact of the matter is it seems many people were in the wrong, and the father’s unhinged response clearly was over-the-top.

Perhaps the store mandated a mask and he didn’t like it, perhaps others wearing masks triggered him, it really doesn’t matter.

I personally am not a mask guy, but if a store asks that I wear one then I kindly put one on and count the minutes until I am out of the store and can remove it. But I oblige the request.

This individual could have put on a mask or chose to go elsewhere and do his shopping, instead he chose to act like the adolescent children we are seeing on the left. His violent outburst is not only embarrassing for his son, but for those of us on the right side of the aisle who do believe this is being blown out of proportion, but need to handle our emotions better than what we have been seeing from the liberals.  #DoBetter
