It’s been nearly a week since Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were sentenced to two months and five months respectively in prison for their roles in the college admissions scandal. While their legal battle in this case may be over, sources are saying that this entire scandal has taken a serious toll on their two daughters, Isabella and Olivia Jade Giannulli.

“This has been extremely difficult for her,” a family source told PEOPLE magazine, referring to Olivia Jade, 20.

“Her career has been affected because of decisions her parents made. But they are still her parents. She has to find forgiveness for them, and she will always love them,” the source added. “In turn, she hopes that as she finds forgiveness for her parents, her fans will not be as judgmental about her.”

Olivia Jade had a successful YouTube career before her parents were accused of paying $500,000 in bribe money to have her and Isabella admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither girl had ever rowed before. The couple spent over a year fighting the charges before they finally plead guilty back in May.

Last month, a judge approved their plea deals, sentencing former “Fuller House” actress Loughlin to two months in jail, a $150,000 fine and 150 hours of community service. Meanwhile, fashion designer Giannulli, 57, was sentenced to five months in jail, a $250,000 fine and 250 hours of service.

Olivia Jade is now hoping to rebuild her career as a social media influencer.

“She accepts responsibility for her part in it,” said the family source. “Everything she worked for was put on hold because of all of this, but she wants to keep following her passions. She’s young. When it feels right, she does want to continue everything she had been building before. Her path hasn’t changed.”

“College wasn’t her path, but people around her told her how important it was and what a great experience it would be,” the family source added. “Her passion and love was always connecting with people on YouTube, and she hopes in time she can come back.”
