Just when it seems like the allegations surrounding Ghislaine Maxwell could not get any stranger, a British man who is known as a “wizard” in his home city has accused her of drugging and abusing him in a new lawsuit.

The New York Post reported that George Vernon, who goes by the name “Merlin” in his home city of Bristol, England, claimed that Maxwell drugged him in London in the early 2000s. He made this allegation in a handwritten suit filed in Manhattan federal court.

In the suit, Vernon claimed that after being drugged, he was “taken by plane to New York where I was bribed to have sex with Maxwell … at Epstein’s apartment.” He was referring to the late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who Maxwell allegedly acted as a madam for.

The “wizard” is seeking $10 million in damages for mental and physical suffering, and Maxwell’s attorneys have yet to comment on the lawsuit.

This is not the first time that Vernon has made headlines. Back in 2016, he was sentenced to a year in prison for drunkenly hurling racial epithets at a Muslim neighbor and threatening to kill him. His lawyer argued in court that Vernon had abstained from drinking for 25 years, but had gotten drunk just before the altercation took place.

“He accepts he has very little memory about events that night, other than he cannot believe he conducted himself in such a way,” his attorney said. “He has promised that he will not touch alcohol ever again.”

When asked to comment on his new lawsuit, Vernon refused to say anything, other than that his life was in danger in the United Kingdom.

Maxwell was arrested last month on six charges related to her allegedly grooming young girls for sex with Epstein. She has since been remanded to a prison in New York City until her trial, which is scheduled for July of 2021, after a judge deemed her to be a significant flight risk given her immense wealth and international connections.

If convicted on all charges, Maxwell is facing 35 years in prison. Epstein committed suicide in prison in August of 2019 while awaiting trial on various sex crime charges of his own.
