Taking a win wherever they can get it, the Democrats exploded into a propaganda minefield when data suggested the DNC received more viewers than the Republican National Convention.

Reported by the Nielsen rating system, there was less than a one million viewer difference between Trump and Biden’s speech. That was more than enough for the Democrats to practical claim a White House victory. Here are just a few quotes by the Fake News conspirators that ran shortly after the ratings were released.

“Biden hits Trump where it hurts: in the convention speech ratings,” – CNN’s Brian Stelter

“Trump’s Republican National Convention was a ratings flop,” – Salon

Even NPR ran a headline saying, “The GOP lost the TV ratings race this week, as prime time viewership for the Republican National Convention was consistently below figures for the Democratic party’s virtual convention last week, according to figures released by Nielsen.”

But what is the Nielsen rating system exactly? The system collects data over TV viewership in America. Brian Stelter even stated, “Nielsen’s data sets count traditional TV viewership across America but largely leave out streaming and other digital forms of engagement, so the picture is incomplete.”

The main clue in Stelter’s statement is “traditional.” Americans may still be traditional in their values, but when it comes to technology – they are always evolving. Many voters don’t read or watch news using classic means like television. With tablets and phones in practically every hand, Americans are flocking towards social media sites like YouTube and Facebook to digest media. When adding online streaming numbers, it appears the Democrats were a little careless with their facts.

According to figures released by both campaigns, the DNC was viewed by 122 million people. Okay, not bad, but what about the RNC? Their total viewers came to 147.9 million people. Not wanting to add insult to injury, but the Trump campaign also raised $76 million during the convention with Biden coming in second once again with only $70 million.

While math can be difficult to understand, Biden’s national campaign press secretary, T.J. Ducklo, continued to push the false narrative when he tweeted,

Sadly, this isn’t the first time Democrats altered the facts to help support their agenda. Radio personality, Larry Elder told Fox & Friends Biden has been lying about his civil rights records for years, claiming “He has been lying and lying and lying about his record, which shows you he thinks of Black people as props, designed to manipulate, tell them anything you want.”

It seems for Democrats the goal isn’t about saving America or building a better tomorrow, but winning even if it means sacrificing the values majority of Americans still treasure.
