Imagine the amusement of all the countless number of conservatives who have been suspended, banned, or otherwise censored by Twitter when the apparently incompetent and security-lax social media giant got their head handed to them by hackers on Wednesday.

Even more amusing is that the hackers seemed to target leftists like Barack Obama and Joe Biden and left the president alone. Could the devilish pranksters have been conservatives themselves striking a blow for truth, justice, and the American way?

Hard to tell at this point, but you gotta say, they sure made Jack Dorsey and Twitter look like idiots, which is reason enough to give the hackers a big thumbs up.

They  hacked into accounts of tech bosses, politicians and big firms in a bitcoin con that triggered a heretofore unknown Twitter site-wide shutdown.

The operation included fake tweets from Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Mike Bloomberg, Kanye West and a number of tech geeks including Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The false tweets offered to send $2,000 for every $1,000 sent to a bitcoin address.

Bitcoin had already received hundreds of transfers totaling more than $100,000 as of 6:30 p.m. ET. This was all sweet news and hilarity to the Trump campaign, who has seen the president censored and lied about over Twitter so much that this came as beautiful schadenfreude.

Trump campaign director of communications Tim Murtaugh mocked the clever scam, saying it was a “perfect metaphor for Biden’s pitch to taxpayers.” President Trump’s Twitter account was not touched.

Joe Biden is so confused and befuddled, could one really tell it wasn’t a legitimate message from him? Perhaps that’s why the hackers chose Biden. They figured Democrats are gullible enough, and Biden is so out to lunch, that the money would just pour in. And apparently, some did.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) is taking a slightly less comedic view of the hacking. He told Dorsey and Twitter, “I am concerned that this event may represent not merely a coordinated set of separate hacking incidents but rather a successful attack on the security of Twitter itself. As you know, millions of your users rely on your service not just to tweet publicly but also to communicate privately through your direct message service. A successful attack on your system’s servers represents a threat to all of your users’ privacy and data security.”

Dorsey, meanwhile, rodent-like profile picture and all, tried to play the poor downtrodden servant just trying to get it right.

But nobody was buying it. Twitter got a glorious comeuppance (and it may happen again) that should serve as a warning to it to curtail their left-wing authoritarian tendencies. However, it won’t. Dorsey will continue to let the Left say anything they desire, no matter how vile or irresponsible. Conservatives will be censored for, well, being conservatives. But it’s his company and he can do as he pleases. And we can cheer when he gets shafted while doing it.
