NASCAR and Go Fas Racing driver Corey LaJoie will run the No. 32 car with a “Trump 2020” paint design during Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The independent, single-car team added a small Trump 2020 sticker to its Ford Mustang at last weekend’s Pocono event, but has signed a deal with the Patriots of America PAC for the Trump PAC to be the primary sponsor in nine races.

Yahoo Sports reports the PAC recently paid $350,000 to the team. “I am honored to be part of the President’s re-election campaign through the Patriots of America PAC. As a Trump 2020 supporter, this team will do everything possible to secure victory on and off the track electing President Donald Trump to a second term. Let us bring this country back and Keep America Great!” said Go Fas Racing team owner Archie St. Hilaire.

“With an estimated 75 million NASCAR fans out there, I was surprised that about 15 million of those fans are not registered voters. I will give my best effort to get NASCAR fans registered to vote, through our team efforts on and off the track. When they see the car, hopefully it makes them race to the polls in November,” said driver LaJoie in a less than entertaining pun.

Given the race series is popular in the South amongst patriotic Americans, it is no wonder a Trump car is a sound investment for the team and the campaign. If through this effort only half of the reportedly unregistered 15 million voters who are NASCAR fans did register to vote, the president and by extension the Republican Party would greatly benefit.

But perhaps just as important is that this move by a NASCAR team may be one of the first in a cultural counter-revolution against the prevailing PC orthodoxy. Sports of all types from NFL football, to baseball, to basketball have seen PC pressures alter the sports in negative ways. Anti-American, pro-domestic terrorist, and pro-rioter gestures and demonstrations are now commonplace on playing fields.

Sports fans as a whole tend to be more traditional and conservative than non-sports fans and a pro-Trump team to rally around may give many disaffected fans of all sports a team to cheer on.

What will be telling will be the reception the car gets at the Brickyard 400 on Sunday. As the Democrats and the Left do not want to see any pro-Trump demonstration anywhere, expect a stunt directed against the car and pro-Trump fans to be at least attempted on race day.
