The top guy over at the Denver police union has just confirmed that Democratic city officials ordered police officers to “stand down” during  Michelle Malkin’s “pro-police” rally that was overrun by violent Antifa thugs.

According to Denver Police Protective Association Nick Rogers, not every officer went along with the order – he knew of at least one lieutenant who defied the order when things turned violent.

The “Back the Blue” event was overrun by Black Lives Matter and other Antifa anarchists who were armed with collapsible batons and other makeshift weapons like “longboard skateboards” that they used to beat the pro-police patriots – many of whom were vets.

The Denver Post reported that police “attempted to form a line around the two groups, but could not completely separate them.” The newspaper added that Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen asked the group “to reschedule or move the pro-police rally.”

Malkin responded online after the incident, “Denver Police Chief Pazen, who marched with BLM last month, let pro-police patriots get beaten and silenced.”

After investigating the incident, Rogers said that the stand-down order was given by the on-scene incident commander, adding that one lieutenant refused it and directed his officers to remain at the rally.

“That’s the only reason this thing didn’t get worse because somebody broke rank and decided to not retreat,” Rogers told Boyles. “And they stayed so they could provide some assistance.”

The talk show host asked Rogers who specifically gave the stand-down order, but he refused to identify the incident commander.

The event was advertised by the Pro Police Rally Colorado Facebook as the sixth annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, Fox News reported.

Malkin says she witnessed vets being beaten by BLM and Antifa terrorists, while police stood there and did nothing.

Commander of the Denver Police Paul Pazen claims he issued the “stand down” order because he didn’t want his officers injured in the melee.

That’s a great way to allow the “bad guys” to control your city and silence good, law-abiding people.

What side is Commander Pazen on? I think we all know the answer to that.
