In their effort to politicize every aspect of American life, the current sheep-like kneeling during the national anthem is supposed to draw attention to the non-existent issue of widespread police brutality toward black Americans.

As we have said before, the number of people of any color brutalized by police is minuscule compared to the number of blacks killed by other blacks every year in this nation. Is anyone kneeling to remember them? No. It’s a false issue to lure in gullible individuals who possess a dearth of critical thinking abilities. One of those people has decided to target NFL legend Mike Ditka for his opposition to kneeling.

“This doesn’t surprise me at all. Mike Ditka traded his helmet in for a white hood as soon as he retired from football. Racism hiding behind faux patriotism is still racism,” sports agent David Mulugheta tweeted in response to a tweet from former NBA coach Stan Van Gundy.

Ditka had said to TMZ Sports: “If you can’t respect our national anthem, get the hell out of the country. That’s the way I feel. Of course, I’m old fashioned, so I’m only going to say what I feel.”

Ditka has a logical point. If this nation is the product of racism, has benefited from racism, and is still lousy with racism, as we are constantly told by the Democrats, Antifa, and Black Lives Matter, then why would the victims of such overwhelming racism want to live here? Should they be asked or coerced to leave? Of course not. But why stay in a nation that, according to them, hates you?

Given this racism is allegedly endemic and has lasted, according to them, over 400 years, it’s not likely going to end soon. So why remain and be oppressed by it? And there’s the rub. Because the people Ditka referenced aren’t oppressed at all. In fact, just the opposite.

They are by and large spoiled glandular cases who generally are not renowned scholars. Their crocodile tears over the actions of law enforcement are shed between sessions of steroid abuse, sexual harassment, and nouveau riche spending excess. If they were serious about the alleged brutality, they would use their millions to build charter schools in the areas of supposed police brutality, so the crime rate would go down and thus police would rarely be seen in the environs.

And for a sports agent like Mr. Mulugheta, a parasite on the game and the players, to opine on this is not his public commentary on a controversial issue. After decades in public relations I can tell you, it’s a transparently cynical attempt to rhetorically keep up with the Joneses. In this specific case, an attempt to keep up with the trash that is running amok on American streets and so seem politically au courant to the usual suspects.

So, of course the kneeling players and Mr. Mulugheta aren’t going anywhere. They have it too good here under a free market American capitalist system, protected by law enforcement, that their pals the Democrats, Antifa, and Black Lives Matter decry. Hypocrisy much? Oh no, perish the very thought!
