Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston of “Friends” fame took to Instagram over the weekend to share a heartbreaking photo of a friend of hers who had been hospitalized with COVID-19.

Aniston explained that the photo was of a friend of hers who had been in good health before he came down with coronavirus and had to be hospitalized in April. Thankfully, she added that the friend has since made a full recovery.

“This is our friend Kevin. Perfectly healthy, not one underlying health issue. This is Covid. This is real,” Aniston wrote. “We can’t be so naive to think we can outrun this…if we want this to end, and we do, right? The one step we can take is PLEASE #wearadamnmask.”⠀

“Just think about those who’ve already suffered through this horrible virus. Do it for your family. And most of all yourself. Covid affects all ages,” she continued. “PS this photo was taken in early April. Thank god he has almost recovered now. Thank you all for your prayers.”

Last month, Aniston posted a photo of herself wearing a face mask, reminding her fans to wear masks as well.

“I understand masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable,” she said. “But don’t you feel that it’s worse that businesses are shutting down… jobs are being lost… health care workers are hitting absolute exhaustion. And so many lives have been taken by this virus because we aren’t doing enough.”

“I really do believe in the basic goodness of people so I know we can all do this,” Aniston added. “BUT still, there are many people in our country refusing to take the necessary steps to flatten the curve, and keep each other safe. People seem worried about their “rights being taken away” by being asked to wear a mask. This simple and effective recommendation is being politicized at the expense of peoples’ lives. And it really shouldn’t be a debate.“

This comes after Aniston opened up about the struggles she faced after playing the iconic character of Rachel Green on the sitcom “Friends.”

“I could not get Rachel Green off of my back for the life of me. I could not escape Rachel from ‘Friends,’ just Rachel from ‘Friends,’ it’s on all the time and you’re just like, ‘Stop playing this f—ing show,'” Aniston told The Hollywood Reporter. “I completely just fought with myself and who I was in this industry forever because it was just constantly about trying to prove I was more than that.”
