Hollywood star Jane Fonda just admitted to using a weed pen to help her sleep after she became the latest celebrity ambassador for CBD and hemp brand Uncle Bud.

The 82 year-old Oscar-winner said that she loves CBD products because they help to relieve her “aches and pains” from osteoarthritis.

“I use a [weed] pen that limits how many doses you get, which is way better than taking sleeping pills.…” Fonda said, according to Fox News. “But I was never majorly into pot to tell you the truth. However, I have osteoarthritis, so things that help with pain and inflammation are good.”

Fonda is a resident of California, where marijuana was legalized back in 2018.

This comes five years after Fonda told DuJour magazine, “I still smoke pot every now and then.”

She went on to joke that she can’t watch movies when she’s high because the drug impedes her judgement.

“I cannot see a movie on pot,” Fonda explained. “The number of movies I’ve seen thinking, ‘This is probably the best I have ever seen,’ and then I’ll see it again sober and think, ‘What was I thinking?’”

Fonda has always been open about her struggles in life, including her battle against bulimia, which she did not get under control until she was in her 40s.

“I try to make it very clear that it has been a long and continuing struggle for me,” she told Elle Canada, referring to her eating disorder.

Fonda also said that she tries to stay relatable to fans by posting photos of herself online that may not necessarily be flattering.

“I post pictures of me looking haggard — and once with my tooth out!” she said. “It came out in a restaurant in Portugal, and I posted it.”

Fonda has also been learning a lot about marijuana in recent years.

“I have indigenous friends who grow industrial hemp, and I’m learning a lot about hemp as a viable economic sector we need to foster,” she said, according to Daily Mail. “I found out recently, for example, that Henry Ford made a car out of industrial hemp fiber, and there’s something on YouTube that shows a guy with a sledge hammer trying to make a dent in this hemp fiber car, and he couldn’t. So it was a hemp fiber car that couldn’t be dented that ran on hemp oil!”
