Israel Fortifies Lebanese and Syrian Borders Suspecting Follow-up Hezbollah Attack

After Monday’s intrusion by Iran-backed Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah into the Israeli Sheba Farms region, Israel’s northern border is on high alert expecting a follow-up attack.

The Israeli Defense Force stated they expect an attack on Eid Al-Adha, a Muslim holiday that is to take place on Friday, Israeli Broadcasting Corporation Kann said in a Wednesday late night broadcast.

While the internationally-declared terror group previously denied involvement in the Sheba Farms incident, where Israeli forces open fired upon the terrorist cell members, the group is purportedly seeking “real retaliation” over an Israeli airstrike on Hezbollah member Ali Kamel Mohsen in Damascus, reported Almasdar News.

In an effort to ramp up security on the border, Jerusalem has sent special weaponry and other equipment to the northern region.

“The IDF Spokesperson’s unit said that following a situation assessment, the Northern Command would be outfitted with advanced artillery and intelligence systems as well as other “special” capabilities, mainly precise weaponry,” wrote Hebrew-language daily newspaper Hamodia.
