All of this rioting and looting started because the killing of a black man by a white police officer.

This is the kind of killing that gets people up in arms, especially the media, but they ignore other killings including the murders in Chicago and other big cities because it is black on black crime and often drug-related. That doesn’t mean that innocent people aren’t killed or that their lives don’t matter. They just don’t matter to the media.

According to Statistica, 31 black men or women were fatally shot by police in 2020. There is no information on justification for these shootings but regardless, the media will always focus on those those deaths and sensationalize them if they fit their narrative of how racist the country is.

Data released from the Chicago Police Department in 2016 showed that 75% of the people who were murdered and 71% of the murderers in Chicago were black. That was out of 433 homicides. But there are no massive protests for these victims and no calls for justice and change.

The recent rioting that is supposedly about wanting justice for George Floyd has resulted in the destruction of black owned businesses and now the killing of a black federal officer.

Black Federal officer Patrick Underwood was shot and killed in Oakland, California on Friday night while he tried to keep peace during the violent riots. He was only 53. He was working with another guard, guarding a federal building during the riots when a white van pulled up and opened fire on them.

His cousin Kisha Evans said on Facebook, “My cousin was shoot & killed last night while on duty at the federal building. I don’t get why black people are killing black people. A black person did not kill George.”

How does this make any sense?

Will there be any protests for his killing?

Why isn’t his death a big deal like Floyd’s is? Was Underwood’s life or death less meaningful?

In the eyes of the media, yes.

By now, you would think that the peaceful protesters would stay home for a few days and let the criminals do their thing get chased out of town or arrested.

Why, if you are a peaceful protester who cares about what happened to Floyd, would you want to be associated with these horrible people who are rioting?

And why are these rioters going after business, churches, synagogues and police officers who had nothing to do with Floyd’s killing?

After September 11th, we praised, honored and thanked police officers.

What has changed?

I think what has changed is the youth of America and their spoiled sense of entitlement. They have no idea what sacrifice is. They want to amuse themselves, be famous on social media and get free stuff. I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but I mostly see more white 20 year olds than blacks at these protests.

What kind of parents must these people have to end up with children who attack secret service agents at the White House, shoot and run over police officers?

What also has changed in this country is the media’s continued all-consuming relentless attacks on Trump and his supporters for being racist when they are not, stoking division whenever possible. The leftist media and their democrat friends have followers who will believe everything they are told and they end up burning down their own cities to get some sort of “justice.”
