A group of rioters took to the Vine St. Expressway, Philly, they were supposedly “peacefully protesting” in the middle of a freeway – first off, that’s not “peaceful,” you don’t get to just go anywhere you want and block traffic and make life difficult for other people. There’s nothing “peaceful” about that.
You have no business being on a freeway unless you’re in a moving car. Period.

With that said, police arrived and began moving them off the expressway.
The huge swarm of people ended up getting trapped on the freeway hill, unable to make it up, as police pummeled them with tear gas.

If you don’t want to get maced or tear-gassed, stay on the sidewalks, or stay home.
