Suzanne Somers may be 73 years-old, but the iconic “Three’s Company” actress has managed to maintain a fit body of someone decades younger than her age.
Now, she wants to help others stay in shape by teaming with ‘90s fitness legends Billy Blanks of Tae Bo fame and Jake Steinfeld of “Body by Jake” for a livestream workout and happy hour on Thursday called Movement by Michelob ULTRA Live. Somers explained in a new interview with People magazine that the collaboration between the three could not come at a better time for her.
“I had a setback this year that I had never experienced – I fractured my hip,” Somers said, adding that the incident occurred when the private tram running up to her house in Palm Springs, California stopped halfway up.

“There was no choice but to jump,” she said. “It was dark, and I landed very badly.”
After getting hip surgery, Somers had to stay still for weeks so that she could recover, which was torture for someone who loves fitness as much as she does.
“I’d done yoga every other day for 19 years – and suddenly I couldn’t do it,” she explained. “I felt like my body had seized up.”
Now that she can move again, Somers is more eager to work out than ever before.
“We don’t have to fall apart as we age,” she said. “Find a movement protocol that turns you on. If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it. I thought about all the people who are sequestered in their houses, and how important it is to light a fire under them. This is what we are trying to do with Movement by Michelob ULTRA Live.”
Somers went on to add that workouts are not the only way she stays in shape, as she also grows her own organic food.
“I am passionate about how the body works,” she said. “If you had a Maserati, you would never put inferior oil in it… One thing I love about aging – and I do love aging – I’ve got a wisdom that no young person can buy. You earn it.”
This comes months after Somers shocked her fans by saying she hopes to pose for Playboy magazine again for her 75th birthday.

“Actually, that would be really cool,” she said back in March. “I would like to have Playboy – I would like Annie Leibovitz to shoot me nude for Playboy for my 75th birthday, OK? That’s now on record.”
In the end, unlike many of her Hollywood stars, Somers just loves getting older.
“One thing I love about aging — and I do love aging — I’ve got a wisdom that no young person can buy,” she said. “You earn it.”
