Savannah Chrisley, best known for starring on the reality television show “Chrisley Knows Best” with her family, just stunned her fans by revealing that she and her fiancé Nic Kerdiles have decided to postpone their wedding.

Savannah, 22, dropped this bomb on her father Todd Chrisley’s podcast “Chrisley Confessions,” where she explained that she and Kerdiles, 26, “realized that things moved way too fast and we needed to go back to dating.” Though the couple were supposed to get married a month ago, Savannah said that though she had hired a wedding planner and was in the process of looking for a venue, she “just knew we had to work on things on a different level.”

“We had to dig deeper and it’s hard. It’s 2020 and you know what, it’s OK not to follow the guidelines and the whole time frame that everyone follows,” she said.

In the end, it was one piece of advice from a friend that caused Savannah to realize that she was making a mistake.

“She said, ‘When you get married, the good things in your relationship become great and the bad things in your relationship become worse.’ And I truly sat on that and I thought about it and there was just so much that Nic and I needed to work through,” she explained. “There was a lot of pressure because we got engaged, it was public and everyone expected a wedding.”

Savannah had previously been open about the fact that she was splitting her time between Nashville, where Kerdiles is a realtor, and Los Angeles. This seems to have finally taken a toll on their relationship in the lead to the wedding.

“Like I said, we’re just trying to figure things out — where we want to be, what we want to do,” she commented. “There’s a lot of moving parts and a lot of decisions, and we’re both focusing on our careers. We want to be good in our careers first.”

Savannah and Kerdiles met through social media and began dating in November of 2017 before getting engaged one year later in December of 2018. Hopefully they can slow down a bit now, and figure out their relationship more before they start planning a wedding again.
